Cedar City, Utah: From “Festival City” to “Surveillance City,” Welcome to 1984 & Enemy of the State

Flock Safety and similar surveillance technologies are paving the way for geo-fencing, mass surveillance, and an AI-driven digital prison—bringing to life the dystopian warnings of George Orwell’s 1984 and the movie Enemy of the State.

Flock Safety: The Next Step Toward Total Surveillance

Flock Safety’s AI-powered license plate readers (LPRs) track vehicles across entire cities and states, creating a nationwide surveillance network. While marketed as a crime prevention tool, it sets the foundation for geo-fencing and movement control.

This aligns with the totalitarian state in 1984, where constant surveillance ensures obedience. Similarly, in Enemy of the State, Will Smith’s character is relentlessly tracked by facial recognition, satellite surveillance, and AI-driven monitoring—all of which are rapidly becoming reality.

How Flock and Geo-Fencing Create a Digital Prison

Flock Safety is part of the larger agenda of geo-fencing, where digital barriers limit and monitor movement:

  • Automated enforcement: AI-powered restrictions can deny access to certain areas based on pre-set conditions, creating a digital cage.
  • AI-driven profiling: Flock’s system logs, stores, and analyzes movements, enabling predictive policing and targeted restrictions.
  • Integration with digital IDs and Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs): Your ability to travel, buy, or access services could be linked to compliance with government mandates.

From Crime Prevention to Control System

While Flock Safety claims to be about tracking criminals, the same mass surveillance infrastructure can be turned against regular citizens:

  • Geo-fenced cities: Movement between “zones” could be restricted, with digital permits required for access.
  • Dissent control: Protesters, activists, and non-compliant individuals could be flagged, monitored, or even geo-blocked.
  • Real-time AI tracking: The system enables live monitoring and preemptive action, just like how Will Smith’s character in Enemy of the State was hunted down using interconnected surveillance tools.

The Merging of Orwell’s 1984 and Enemy of the State

In 1984, the Party controls every aspect of life through constant surveillance, information control, and AI-like predictive monitoring. In Enemy of the State, advanced tracking technology is used to eliminate threats to government control.

Today, Flock Safety and other mass surveillance tools are building this reality:

  • AI-powered tracking and predictive policing
  • Totalitarian control over movement and communication
  • Integration with digital systems that dictate access to society

The Digital Prison is Almost Complete

With AI-driven surveillance, digital IDs, CBDCs, and geo-fencing, the framework for total control is being constructed—an invisible prison where every move is monitored, controlled, and restricted.

Flock Safety is not just about catching criminals; it is a stepping stone to a world where AI and centralized power dictate who can go where, when, and why—making Orwell’s and Hollywood’s warnings a chilling reality.

Those who blindly implement (for the Oligarchy) mass surveillance and digital control systems—whether politicians, police, government employees, or corporate workers—are unwittingly building their own chains. By prioritizing a paycheck, short-term security, or career advancement, they fail to see the long-term consequences:

Trading Liberty for Comfort: A Historical Pattern

Throughout history, tyranny has always been built with the help of those who thought they were just “doing their job.”

  • Nazi Germany: Ordinary bureaucrats, police, and soldiers followed orders, enforcing policies that led to oppression and genocide—many later claimed, “I was just following orders.”
  • Soviet Union: Informants and enforcers of the communist regime helped create the surveillance state, only to become victims of the same system they upheld.
  • China’s Social Credit System: Many who helped implement AI surveillance and censorship now find themselves blacklisted, unable to travel, get loans, or even buy tickets.

The pattern is clear: those who help build a digital prison will eventually be locked inside it.

The Illusion of Safety and Job Security

Many justify their role in implementing surveillance tech, digital IDs, and AI tracking with:

  • “It’s for public safety.”
  • “It’s just my job.”
  • “I’m just following orders.”
  • “It won’t affect me.”

But what happens when the system shifts and turns against them?

  • Police officers enforcing authoritarian laws may find their own rights restricted when they retire or speak out.
  • Government employees helping build AI tracking will be subject to the same AI-driven scrutiny and control.
  • Corporate employees developing these tools may one day have their own bank accounts frozen for non-compliance.

The temporary benefits of implementing digital control—paychecks, promotions, security—will not outweigh the permanent consequences when they and their children are trapped inside the very system they helped create.

A Digital Prison for Future Generations

By failing to resist now, these implementers are not just enslaving themselves but also condemning future generations to a world of:

  • Geo-fenced movement restrictions (denied access to certain areas based on digital permissions).
  • CBDCs that can be shut off instantly if behavior is deemed non-compliant.
  • AI-driven social control (protests, dissent, and free speech eliminated through automated enforcement).
  • A total surveillance society where privacy and autonomy are extinct.

Their own grandchildren may one day curse their names, realizing they sold away liberty for convenience.

“A Mess of Pottage” – Selling Freedom for Short-Term Gain

The biblical reference to Esau selling his birthright for a bowl of stew (Genesis 25:29-34) perfectly describes those implementing digital tyranny today. For temporary comfort, they trade away something priceless—freedom.

  • They accept money today at the cost of permanent control tomorrow.
  • They believe they’ll always be on the “right side” of the system, but history proves nobody is safe when tyranny consolidates power.

The Inevitable Regret – “We Didn’t Think It Would Happen to Us”

One day, when it’s too late, those who helped create the system will realize:

  • The “bad guys” weren’t just criminals—it was anyone who questioned authority.
  • The government’s definition of “threats” keeps expanding—until they themselves are considered a problem.
  • The same surveillance and AI enforcement they once controlled now controls them.

But by then, they will have no means to fight back—because they helped dismantle the very freedoms that could have saved them.

Final Thought: Stand Now, or Kneel Forever

History shows that once a surveillance state is fully established, it does not willingly give up control. Those enforcing these systems must wake up now—before they realize too late that they have helped build an irreversible prison, not just for society, but for themselves and their children.
